Meet Your Embodiment Educator, Kim Bevans
I help you reconnect with your whole self so you can break free of old patterns to feel safe in your body, confident in yourself and believe in your capability to live a grounded, connected, joyful life.
Kim’s Journey
Growing up, I felt distant from my body. The outside world told me to 'be smart' and a 'good student'. But I was drawn to performing arts that made me FEEL - glimpses of being an integrated, wondrous, multidimensional human.
I studied dance and theater in college, then pursued graduate training in dance/movement therapy and counseling. For 15 years, I've been an embodied therapist helping people connect deeply with their minds, bodies, and hearts.

As a body-oriented therapist, I help clients release stored trauma, rage, frustration, stress, and hurt in their bodies.
My holistic approach combines somatic practices with traditional therapy to create a unique healing experience.
“Kim has a calm, supportive presence, which I find very grounding. I trust her and have confidence in her perspectives and approaches. Kim is creative and shares her knowledge in an engaging, easy to understand way. She creates an environment that encourages learning, exploration and self-development.”
-Joanna Gardy, LMHC
“Kim understands the gap between the somatic approaches and traditional verbal therapy. She has tools and a vision to help practitioners on either side to close the gap. I admire her passion!”

Work With Kim
I love working with my clients, but I also know not everyone can access regular therapy, especially therapy that is embodied, somatic, and holistic.
That’s why I’m creating educational programs to help you learn basic and accessible ways for you to reconnect within yourself, body, mind and spirit. This connection then serves as the foundation for your healing work, repair and growth in relationships, addressing trauma and releasing stress.
I invite you to start with my signature freebie, Foundations for Somatic Release. Here you’ll find practices to help you process “stuckness” held in your body.
